While Pete D’Amica may be the newest addition to British Vinyl, he is not new to the British Invasion or to his instrument. Pete has been “slappin’ de bass” and holding down the rhythm section in numerous Rock ’n Roll bands for 58 years, now.
Originally from New York City, Pete got a taste of upstate NY by attending college in Plattsburgh NY, where he met drummer Dave Grapka. They didn’t play together then, but it would not be their last time together…45 years later they would reconnect and find that music is one of the strongest glues in the world for friendship.
Pete’s professional musician resume is very strong. He has played in bands that landed a record contract with Inverted Records, and lived every musicians’s dream, having performed at both the Whiskey-A-Go-Go in L.A and the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. Over 58 years, Pete has also played in scores of clubs and venues on the East coast - from Maryland to Connecticut.
Pete is quite possibly the hardest working musician in Columbia county. Besides British Vinyl, Pete also plays with “Side Show Willie,” a Power Rock band that has won Best Entertainer Award three years in a row.
The British Vinyl Band Is:
Dave B - Lead guitar and vocals
Tim Q - Keyboards and vocals
